My grandmother was less than enthusiastic about her pancake and decaf coffee, but she's very picky and the owner had made a fresh pot of decaf for her and was running himself out of breath trying to cover everything, so it wasn't for lack of effort.
Every time I come to Tennessee to visit my parents in Smithville we drive the 45 minutes to eat here. The owner and his son are super friendly. The food is outstanding and the country ham is always sliced thick and the tea sweetened just right. Their meat and 3 is excellent and it is real country cooking. The breakfasts are large and the coffee is good. Enjoy, we always do.
Appreciated the service (local folks also helped wait tables for him since it was busier than usual) and the coffee was fresh, so I couldn't complain. Plenty cheap enough, too.
Hands down the best breakfast we've had! Michael and James - dad and son are amazing! Blueberry pancakes to die for!
On a Missions Trip, we stopped to check it out and it was amazing. The waitress was funny and the food was fantastic. If you're ever in Spencer, Tennessee, I highly recommend a stop! It is cash only though so be prepared.
